He has a record of killing us an they hired him back and put him in a community that’s mainly black?!?!?! I CANNOT. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2732986/Darren-Wilson-s-policing-job-Missouri-police-department-shut-entire-force-replaced-amid-racism-corruption-allegations.html

His entire department at a previous town was shut down because of widespread corruption. they were literally so bad that people voted to close the police down.

What are you thinking about when you think of cultural appropriation? Because imagine someone who wasn't Jewish wearing a skull cap or someone who wasn't Hindi wearing a bindi. They're taking things with cultural and religious significance and treating them like accessories. That's the issue people have with appropriation. Even more so because the people whose culture the item belongs can be ostracized when expressing their own culture, while white people are praised for being fashionable.

That’s where the problem is. That society will shame people for expressing their culture yet turn right around and accessorize it. But I feel like if anything, the people who wear hijabs and such that do not represent the original culture support that culture. I do feel like that this could be a step in the right direction to normalizing every single culture, but it can be taken the wrong way if some people abuse this. So it’s a touchy subject. And depending on the situation I could go either way.

can you explain culture appropriation? in my opinion I don't think there's nothing wrong with it (unless you're simply mocking the culture w/ hate) but people get really defensive so am I missing out on something??

I’m not very educated on it but so far I see nothing wrong with it. Some people overreact and make ignorant remarks when white people are friends with someone from any other race. It’s very annoying. But I agree, when people are mocking another race it’s not appropriate whatsoever.

When I say “please don’t take a picture of me” it’s not because I’m being bitchy and stubborn, it’s because if I see that picture I will seriously feel so bad about myself and think I am the ugliest thing on earth and sink a little deeper into self consciousness and hatred.

thank you

and before anyone says anything about selfies- those are controlled photos.

this is why I prefer pictures I take over pictures people take of me.
